Hey I need some words of wisdom from one of my favorite artists:) I'm starting out in watercolor and I have all of the supplies needed but I'm afraid of wasting them and I don't have the confidence to use them. Any advice?

advice: you cannot possibly waste them as long as pigment is going on paper and you’re not throwing them away

I’ve been drawing digitally for, hm, 11 years now? I used to use a mouse for 3 years before I got a tablet (at 14)

besides that uhh it’s just a matter of practice haha, i used to be really bad at it

Hi, I have a question about your art supplies giveaway: Would it be allright if I shared it with a friend, should I win? I'd love to have the fountain pen and writing equipment, but I'm not much of a painter, but I know my friend would happily use the watercolours and the brushes and stuff (and also HAS use of them).

HAHA I didn’t!!! that’s why I dropped out like a year and a half in! it was fun while it lasted but it was just too expensive for me and i was like “I can practice on my own now” and also i didnt get any of the classes i wanted fourth semester so Whatever i wasn’t gonna pay like 20k for that, yknow?

I learned a bunch of stuff there but honestly what works is just drawing a lot and being critical and self-aware so yep i feel like i got my money’s worth (sort of, still have a fair amount of debt im unhappy about)

So which college did you go to?

I guess after losing Styx, twigs didn’t really trust that I would come back either - marl and vee told me he would meow and howl if anyone went out the front door (thinking they’d never come back! after all, that’s where styx and i went, and we never came back!)

and now that i’m back home he’s planted his ass straight on my side and is like a sentinel guarding my existence from disappearing

i fucking love this cat

What size prints to you usually sell, and do you put them in a plastic pocket or something for the people who buy them or do they just take them as they are?

I usually sell 11” by 14” prints and I have a bunch of plastic sleeves i slip them into so they dont get damaged
