OK OK so even though I actually didn’t need voices really at all, I let people send some in anyway, and I got some cool ones but I haven’t replied to ANY emails yet about it because I realized I should probably make it a Whole Thing now
How it would work: voices will be an ENABLE OR DISABLE at the beginning of the flash, so you can ignore them for the rest of your life NP and continue reading the prologue/epilogues like normal! that’s important to me personally because i hate voices and never foresaw myself even doing this
now, some important info: this is for the PMD-explorers group! If you’re uncomfortable with thousands of people listening to your voice, don’t apply!!
If this becomes A Thing, I will want you to be able to do voices until the project ends… and also, sometimes deadlines get tight and I change dialog around. Also, no shitty microphones, please! I want the quality to be a little better. Speaking of which, if someone wants to help edit lines to edit out some noises, I’d like to know about that too, because I’m certainly no pro at this stuff. PLEASE though, do NOT OFFER to do anything if you think you’d be too busy or have no time and stuff. Do not overextend. I want reliable help! People with mostly stable situations!! I don’t want to use one person as a voice and then not get to use them again because they’re currently hopping between 3 homes or something!

Anyway… onto the voices:
You may, and are encouraged, to apply for more than one of these. I’ll have a little note about them about a “must” I foresee, and any characters already filled will be listed here as such so you don’t apply for them. These are all characters I’ll need in the future between now and like May, and I may ask some of you to do special unlisted characters after I’ve heard your voice.

PK - Rough girl voice. Yes, go ahead and try her. My voice isn’t really as I’d imagine PK.
Grand Kec / Micle Nomel - Older guy. Preferably sounds a little old-timey? Like 1920s
Jasmine - Ditzy
Mike - Boyish… Really need this one soon! Slightly southern/western american accent.
Maple - Southern accented girl.
Callahan - Guy. Japanese accent preferably
Devonshire - Guy. Preferably with some sort of European accent, maybe British, deeper voice than Shroomsworth
Shade - Woman. Not girly
Caldera - Guy. Higher pitched, and we’re going to stick tinny effects on it probably. Should be eloquent.
Lexy - Guy. Don’t be too over the top! Sarcasm delivered deadpan is best. Eloquent as well.
Tohne - Zorua kid, male, timid
Hatch - Zorua kid, male, aggressive
Charcoal - Zorua kid, female, assertive
Perry - rough guy
Brooke - Serious strong woman
Crags - Guy
Iceburg - Somewhat timid guy
Quaak - Needs German accent
Cheryl - Jolly kind girl
Anana - Needs to sound bouncy, genuine
Malt - FILLED
Shroomsworth - Needs British VA
Gunpowder - Needs androgynous VA, preferably rough girl aiming to sound like a guy
Dmitri - No idea
Rhodes - FILLED
Merlot - Preferably with some sort of European accent, maybe British, deeper voice
Sandy - Quieter voice
Chill - Not too low-pitched
Fresnel - A little effeminate

You can find all of these characters on The Wiki which will have a brief blurb at the top describing the character usually, and lists things they’re in so you can find lines to read for them. If it’s a minor NPC, feel free to just make something up - I want to hear your voice of the character, I don’t care if the words don’t fit.

If I need more, I will make another post. Please spread this around to get more people in on it! This is a gigantic undertaking, and it can’t be done with only a small handful of people, and I’d like it to be *well* done at that - which is why I don’t want to claim PK’s voice myself, really! So do your best!

I’d like the majority of the auditions before April hits because the Epilogue will be in the works by then, and I’ll want to test lines and see how it goes. Feel free to try after that, though. Also, if you’ve already emailed me, please *DO IT AGAIN* but following the subject here so I can easily find it. I won’t be able to respond immediately, and don’t feel bad if I don’t respond within a week even. I won’t have room for everyone, sadly, but I will listen to every try all the way through!
